Overview of the tour in Gdansk

Gdańsk is a beautiful city with a strikingly non-Polish architecture. The city was shaped through the centuries by wealthy merchants who came from every corner of Europe, which created a cosmopolitan atmosphere in the city. As a result, the citizens of Gdańsk started to identify themselves as people of Gdańsk rather than Poles, Germans etc.

Being perfectly located at the very end of Vistula River by the Baltic cost, it soon became the largest city of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and one of the most important trading centers in Central Europe. It exported grain around almost entire Europe and something that was a bit more desired in those days – amber.

Join a walk through the charming old town of Gdańsk and discover its elegant buildings, neat terraces, and cobblestone streets. Visit gigantic St. Mary’s Church – the largest brick church in the world, see the city’s symbol – Europe’s largest medieval crane which was once powered by human muscles. There are many interesting things about Gdańsk, especially its citizens that started a revolution that changed Europe for good.
