Start your day with a visit to the National Museum of Ethiopia, one of the finest museums for its quality and diverse exhibits. Discover the 3.5-million-year-old fossil of Lucy (Dinkinesh, meaning 'thou art wonderful' in the native language), a hominid of the species Australopithecus afarensis. This discovery in 1974 revolutionized our understanding of human ancestry.

The museum also showcases incredible artifacts from the pre-Axumite civilization. Please note that the National Museum is closed on Mondays.

In the afternoon, drive to Entoto Mountain for a panoramic view of Addis Ababa. Visit Menelik Palace and explore the church and museum on the mountain.
