Sightseeing Tour of Addis Ababa
Overview of the tour in Addis Ababa
This is a private customized tour of Addis is to visit the National Archaeological Museum of Addis Ababa which shelters the fossil remains of Lucy (3.25 mil years old and the oldest hominid).
Then, we drive up to Mount Entoto (3,200 Meters above sea level) to enjoy the great view of the city and to visit the oldest church in Addis Ababa which is famous for its beautiful hand painted wall paintings which are as old as the church (140 years).
Next stop would be to visit the Holy Trinity Cathedral which is famous for its Window glassworks and the rich museum displaying crowns, icons, manuscripts, etc It is also a site where the grave of Emperor Haile Sillassie I is found at.
After lunch at a traditional Ethiopian Restaurant where visitors will taste the varieties of Ethiopians delicious meals, we will head to Merkato – the largest open-air market in Africa to visit its most interesting cultural sections – the Spice Market, the hand-woven basket market, the second-hand item's market etc. We will also attend a typical Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony.
Finally, drive in Addis Ababa to see monuments, squares, and major landmarks.

Things to note
- June, July and August is the rainy season in and around Addis Ababa so please get prepared accordingly.
- When visiting churches women should cover hairs and be fully dressed.
