Beghumnama - Immersive Walk About Mughal Women
Overview of the tour in Agra
Join us for a captivating heritage walk as we delve into the world of women in the Mughal Era.
We will discover the untold stories of influential and remarkable women who played pivotal roles in shaping the history and culture of India. This unique walk will take you on a journey through one of the finest monuments in Agra, where the legacy of these formidable women still resonates.
On any given date in history, there is very little mention of what roles women were playing at that time, and in the major events, victories, and defeats that we remember, we often wonder where they were and what they were doing. Even during the Mughal era, our imagination of women is limited to the typical image of the harem and a few names like Mumtaz and Nur Jahan.
In reality, there are many names whose stories, when heard, make us realize that if they hadn't acted as they did, medieval history would have been quite different.
