Overview of the tour in Alexandria

This historic walking tour of the old downtown of Alexandria, founded by Alexander in 332 BC, will allow you to encounter the must-see spots that other regular itineraries won't allow you to see.

We will get to visit the most important historical spots in town for archaeology lovers who care a lot about history and sightseeing iconic places (i.e.:- the Catacombs, Roman Amphitheatre, the fort, the old place of the lighthouse and others) plus, a walk in the old part of the city to get to see the local historical architecture, which has Baroque-style designs and Italian and French-style properties.

This activity includes:

  • Bibliotheca Alexandrina
  • Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa
  • The Cathedral of St. Mark
  • Ancient Roman Theatre
