Overview

Discover the real Netherlands in this amazing tour through Zaanse Schans, Edam, Volendam, and Marken – the jewels of the Dutch countryside.

Our bus will pick you up near Central Station in Amsterdam.

The visit starts in Zaanse Schans, where you will be able to take pictures of typical Dutch windmills that are still in use today.

Afterward, we will drive to the Waterland area, passing through the beautiful villages from this part of the country: Edam, Volendam, and Marken. In Edam, we will walk through historical sites, like the square where the famous Cheese Market used to take place. Then, near Volendam, we will visit a local cheese producer, where the cheese master will explain how they produce Gouda and Edam cheeses. In the clog factory, you will discover the secrets of this typical Dutch shoe. Then, travel back in time to the 17th century as we walk by cozy fishermen's houses in Marken, the fishing harbor, and the protestant church.

Join us for an unforgettable day visiting Edam, Volendam, Marken, and Zaanse Schans.

I really enjoyed the tour. We were also lucky to do it in good weather. The villages are beautiful. We had enough time to see them at our leisure. The guide, Eli, was great. Enough information but not crowded. A very recommendable experience. Thank you

“Do not buy from the farm!”
All very good, but don't buy anything at the farm! Everything is very expensive! We bought cheese at 12.50 per kilo, because the guide told the whole bus that there was very little difference with respect to any other place and that they were better because they were artisans. What a hoax! Then we went to the Albert Cuip market and we saw the same ones, with the same packaging, all the same, at half the price, half the price! So that was a lie that they were artisans. Of course it is an excursion that if you go on a trip to Amsterdam you have to do it, to see the more rural surroundings, but be careful with the guides, although ours was very nice and very willing, it is still her job and she gets a percentage of what you buy at the farm and the places she recommends and you go and say her name.
