Overview

Embark on a physical and spiritual pilgrim-like tour on ancient paths that weaves the myths, history, and vibrant life of Athens into one unforgettable experience.

Admire the Acropolis, the pearl of ancient Greece, the womb of modern civilization, and feel the grandeur of the timeless Parthenon. Step onto Areopagus, where ancient gods and legendary orators shaped justice and opinions.

Explore the serene paths of Filopappou, where breathtaking views meet the tales of Muses, Amazons, and Roman benefactors. See where Socrates spent his last hours and a seat on one of the seven Thrones. Stand at Pnyx, the birthplace of democracy, where citizens once gathered to shape the future of civilization. Ascend the Hill of Nymphs, a haven of mythology and astronomy, home to shrines and the National Observatory. Admire Likabettus, the green Athenian cake, from an advantageous point.

As you traverse these storied hills, reimagine the ancient city walls, uncover mythological legends, and connect with modern superstitions that keep Athens’ heritage alive. Appreciate this timeless city with the eyes of your soul. Measure the earth with your body's effort. This walk belongs to all of us!

Things to note

Dear Guests,

Thank you for joining us on this exciting 3-hour tour! Here are some key details to help you prepare:

- Hydration & Snacks: There will be no hydration points or kiosks. Please bring your own water bottles and snacks to stay refreshed.
- Gear & Protection: Hats and sunglasses are recommended to protect against the sun, and sunscreen if needed.
- Physical Activity: The tour involves some light uphill climbing. While most of it is manageable, there is one hill that is a bit more demanding. Basic physical fitness is recommended, but most importantly, comfortable, flat shoes. There will also be 15 stairs to go up and down. Nothing to be scared about, though. The route can be slightly modified depending on any mobility issues, and we will personally guarantee no one is left behind.

We keep our groups small, capped at 15 people, allowing for personalised interactions and recommendations, a more intimate experience let's say.

This is a tip-based tour, so if you enjoy yourselves, a tip to your guide is the best way to show your support. It's called "free" because on the one hand we will not pay for any tickets to get into the sites and because you are free to put a monetary value on the experience.

Every single step we make will follow those of the most influential Greek heroes and Gods. Fairies don't leave footsteps though - only those born on Saturdays can feel their presence.

This tour is about immersing yourself in nature and the captivating stories of the surroundings. We look forward to an enjoyable and memorable journey together!

Best regards,
Yorgos
