Overview of the tour in Athens

Let yourself be amazed by the incredible night illumination of Athens with the help of our official English speaking guides.

In the evening, the Athens Academy awaits us and then we will head to the Old Parliament. On the way, we will also talk about Ermou Street and reach the church of Agia Dynamis. We will head to Mitropoleos Square, where we will find the Annunciation Cathedral of St. Mary and the Church of Agios Eleftherios.

We will visit the charming neighborhood of Anafiotika and learn about the curiosities of the Church of Agios Nikolaos Rangavas before heading to the Gate of Athena and the Flea Market. We will culminate our visit overlooking the Acropolis in the historic and lively neighborhood of Thissio.

From December 6 to January 6, we will take advantage of our walk to discover the peculiarities of Christmas in Greece and discover some of its main customs and traditions. Did you know that many Greek families decorate boats instead of Christmas trees? We will also be surprised with the figure of the kallikantzaroi, with the tradition of the Blessing of the Waters or learn what the calandas are. Καλά Χριστούγενννα!
