Overview
I will talk about the history of the city of Baku, especially the Old Town. What was it like in the past? How were the fortress walls built? What was the culture and hygiene like in the Middle Ages? I will show you old, still-functioning hammams and introduce you to the wonderful atmosphere of the Old City. At the end of the tour, guests will get to know the masterful local cuisine.
Tour of the Old Town (approx. 3 hours)
During the tour, we will visit:
- The Double Gates and the fortress walls
- The former customs house
- The hamams of the Old Town
- The Palace of the Shirvanshahs
- The Friday Mosque (Juma Mosque)
- The residence of the Baku Khans
- The caravanserais
- The Maiden Tower
You can contact me for more information before booking. There are no age or physical restrictions. Different models and body styles of cars are available. For small groups, there is a hatchback or sedan, and for 4 or more people, a minivan. Upon request, I can organize a transfer.
