Free tour of Monjuïc - The Magical Mountain of Barcelona
Overview of the tour in Barcelona
We will start the tour in the Gardens of Mossèn Costa I Llobera, where we will get to know species of cacti from all over the world, while we enjoy one of the best views from the Mount, observing the sea. We will walk through the Miramar Gardens, one of the main parks created for the 1929 Barcelona International Exposition.
We will also have a space for ancient history, going through the Montjuic Castle, an old 18th-century fortress, and the remains of the old Jewish cemetery, where we will tell you how the history of this place intermingled with iconic spaces in the center of Barcelona.
We will go back to recent history to find the Montjuic Olympic ring, a set of facilities that were part of the space where the 1992 Olympic Games took place. We will find some of the symbols of this sport's history.
We will end the tour in one of the most impressive buildings on the tour: Plaza España. In addition to the emblematic Venetian towers, built to officiate at the entrance to the International Exposition, we will visit the National Art Museum of Catalonia, where we will say goodbye hoping to see them again soon in the city.

Metro Line 2 and 3 (Paral-lel station). I will be on Avenida Paral-lel 55, next to the pool, in front of the Insside hotel. The guide will have an orange folder.

- To improve your experience, we will use wireless radio guides that will allow you to comfortably follow the guide's explanations. The rental cost is €1 per adult, to be paid in cash before the tour begins.
- The tour is done entirely on foot. We will have to go up several ramps and stairs of lesser and greater difficulty. Level of difficulty when climbing the mountain (medium)
