Overview of the tour in Bari

You will meet the historical figures who have changed the history of Bari—for example, Roberto Guiscardo, Bona Sforza, and St. Nicholas. At the end of the excursion, you will learn about Bari's life and all its facets.

The excursion is carried out by a licensed tour guide with ten years of experience, the author of the book "Hiking Guide to Bari."
The route includes a visit to the Basilica of St. Nicholas, where you will visit the saint's tomb and hear the historical facts related to St. Nicholas and his legends and miracles, learning what scientists have discovered by analyzing the relics in the last century.

We will see the 12th-century Norman-Swabian castle from the outside and talk about the period of Norman power on the Apulian land. Also, the castle has both its history and mysterious facts.

In the cathedral of San Sabino, you will see two styles of architecture: Romanesque and Baroque. You will discover the event on the day of the summer solstice.

We walk along the «orecchiette» road, and you will see how women prepare orecchiette.
