Tai Chi is a Chinese exercise that uses slow, smooth body movements to achieve a state of relaxation of both body and mind. Modern practices of Tai Chi often include sequences of slow movements coordinated with deep breathing and mental attention. A high level of concentration is usually involved, and sessions are intensely focused and quiet. In the Tai Chi class, you will learn some basic gestures of 9 steps elementary Tai Chi Ch'uan as well as authentic methods to improve internal energy (Qi) that helps to maintain people's good health.
Calligraphy is traditional art of writing Chinese characters. After centuries of creation and evolution, calligraphy occupies a distinguished position in the field of traditional art. It is not only a means of communication, but also a means of expressing a person's inner world in an aesthetic sense. Today, although various modern ways have been substituted for the original calligraphy, people still love the ancient form and practice it untiringly.
In this class, under the instruction of our patient calligraphy teacher, you will learn how to use Chinese brush to write simply Chinese characters and even your Chinese given names.
