Belfast Political Conflict Tour in Spanish
Overview of the tour in Belfast
Although little known to most, Belfast today remains a divided city. About 25 kilometers of a physical wall separate two religious communities that live next to each other, adorned with murals that tell the social, political, and cultural history of the area and the popular heroes of the locals.
We visit Falls Road and will witness visible signs of this community's desire to be part of the Republic of Ireland. We will then pass through the electronically controlled gates dividing the two locally affected communities as 'Check Point Charlie and walk on the other side of the Wall onto Shankill Road, where you will witness the determination of the locals who wish to remain part of the UK.
You will have the opportunity to sign the Peace Wall - if you wish - and leave your message with Bill Clinton and the Dalai Lama.
This activity includes:
- Peace Wall Belfast
- Falls Road Library
- Shankill Road Memorial Garden
