Free Tour in Benidorm
Overview of the tour in Benidorm
We will start this free tour of Benidorm meeting at the indicated time in the Triangular Square, also called Plaza de la Hispanidad. From this point we will head towards the historic center, where we will learn about the origins of the old fishing village.
As we walk along the main street we will explain how Benidorm evolved from a small fishing village to an internationally famous tourist destination. It's amazing! We will continue the tour in Castelar square, where we will see the facade of one of the oldest temples of the town.
This is the church of San Jaime and Santa Ana, built in the eighteenth century to honor the patron saint of Benidorm: the Virgin of Suffrage. Very close to the church is the viewpoint of the Castle. In addition, along its coastline we will see the famous set of skyscrapers that have turned Benidorm into "the New York of the Mediterranean".
To conclude this two-hour free tour, we will go down the stairs that connect this viewpoint with the Balcony of the Mediterranean. From this privileged vantage point we will contemplate the island of Benidorm on the horizon. Do you know its legends? We will reveal them to you!
