Overview of the tour in Bilbao

Our journey begins in the heart of the old town, at the iconic San Anton Bridge. Here, we delve into the origins of Bilbao, unraveling its medieval past as a modest village and port, exploring the seven original streets of the cathedral, and concluding at "el Arenal."

Moving forward, we encounter the first echoes of the Industrial Revolution at the train station, accompanied by a backdrop of mountains. Our exploration extends to discussions on industrialization, the significance of iron, shipyards, the emergence of a new bourgeoisie, the city's strategic positioning, and the vital role of the estuary as we glide along the river. A pause at the Isozaki Towers provides insight into the impact of the Civil War and Francoist era.
