Digbeth Walking Tour Public Art & Peaky Film
Overview of the tour in Birmingham
Understand how Birmingham began on the sandy ridge above the River Rea. Get up close and experience public art of all descriptions with your guide, Jonathan Berg, author/photographer of the new book: ‘Birmingham’s Public Art.’ See evidence for the industrial heritage and 'city of 1,000 trade' and get a feel for the bohemian parts of Digbeth. Walk the towpath of the atmospheric Digbeth Branch Canal.
Experience the new film studios, which are becoming the film set for the Peaky Blinders feature film, with filming due to start in September 2024. See the new home of the TV series Masterchef and the BBC Birmingham headquarters developing in front of our eyes.
