Walking Tour of Birmingham City Centre
Overview of the tour in Birmingham
Get to understand the origins of Birmingham and see some of the key central squares and the city centre canals.
We will use public art all over the city to help explain the history and present-day city, from the world’s first factory at the start of the Industrial Revolution to the home of Black Sabbath and the start of heavy metal music and much more.
Your guide, a local author and photographer, introduces you to many other activities that you can take part in during your time in the city.

Our Guides
On arrival
We will start outside the Library of Birmingham in Centenary Square promptly at 11.00. We have a small 'pop-up' stand to the left of the entrance where we meet.
Things to note
Please you can bring a pair of earphones with a 3.5mm jack for use with the live audio unit that you will be loaned so you can here the guide perfectly through the tour.
