Free Tour of Bristol, History and Curiosities
Overview of the tour in Bristol
We will meet at St Peter's Church (Castle Park), in the heart of the city. After learning the main curiosities of this park, we will begin the route.
The guided tour of Bristol will continue along the Avon River canal until we reach King Street. We will walk along this avenue of purely British style and its many historic buildings that give this part of the city an old and elegant air. At the end of King Street, we will find Queen Square, a park with a radial structure that is very appreciated by the inhabitants of Bristol.
The next stop on this route through Bristol will be one of its most emblematic buildings: the cathedral. We will stop in front of this gothic jewel that is more than 7 centuries old, reflecting the importance of Bristol in the 15th century, when it became the second largest city in England.
From Bristol Cathedral, we will go to Park Street to see the work of the famous graffiti artist Banksy. From here, we will head to St. Nicholas Market, a covered space where you will find typical products from the area. After two and a half hours of guided walking, we will conclude our guided tour of Bristol in the vicinity of this place.
