Dinner & tour after closing at the Museum of Communism Bucharest
Overview of the tour in Bucharest
The evening starts with a glass of traditional palinka or cherry liqueur + water/soda/espresso to their liking, followed by a guided tour inside the Museum of Communism. The guide will provide a complete tour of the museum, alternating facts and personal stories & anecdotes of their family.
Consequently, the participants will be served the thematic dinner, coffee, and dessert in the museum's living room. The food served will include the traditional famous appetizers such as zacusca, eggplant salad, different types of cheeses, and meets. Also, a main course, typical for Romanian gastronomy, will be served. Everything will be served in old plates and glasses dating from communist times.
During this time, participants will be able to enjoy their dinner, ask the guide about any curiosity they might have regarding the history, culture, and gastronomy of Romania, and further interact with the museum objects – try on vintage clothes, listen to music on pick-up & cassette and go through the secret drawers.
You will have the whole interactive space of the museum for yourself, where you will be free to first-handedly discover how a normal family was living during those times.
