Overview of the tour in Bucharest

This extensive walking tour begins in front of the most beautiful building in Bucharest – the Athenaeum and continues with the essential sights along the historic avenue of Calea Victoriei.
With us, you will see places that will reveal the fascinating history of Romania during the reign of the Monarchy. Besides this, you will find out how the Communist regime was established, dominated the lives of Romanians, and ultimately ended brutally in Revolution Square. Later on, you will stop by the second largest administrative building in the world, the Palace of the Parliament, and hear all the unbelievable stories about one of the largest buildings in the world.
Throughout the tour, you'll discover the fascinating history of Bucharest and Romania from Antiquity to the present day. You’ll experience all sides of Bucharest’s contrasting architecture: medieval Oriental inns, Belle Epoque palaces, and communist structures.
To get an in-depth knowledge of Romanian culture, the tour also includes typical Romanian snacks: a pastry product and a tasting of traditional desserts in the oldest cakery in Bucharest.
