Orthodox Art & Architecture Tour
Overview of the tour in Bucharest
The tour commences at Saint Anton's Church in the Old Town, a historical gem dating back to the 14th century. Next, we proceed to the Saint George's Church, constructed in the Wallachian style and adorned with the purest Byzantine artistry.
Our journey takes us along Lady's Street, where two churches, hidden behind buildings, come into view. One of these churches belongs to the Bulgarian Orthodox tradition, while the other, known as The Lady's Church, boasts the oldest original paintings on this tour and was constructed by a distinguished lady of the time.
To round out the tour, we visit the exquisite Stavropoleos Monastery and conclude with a visit to Saint Demetrios, a 19th-century architectural jewel featuring classic European elements.
