Overview of the tour in Budapest

The Buda Castle is one of the most iconic places in Budapest. If you want to know its evolution over time, as well as the essential places of this district of the Hungarian capital by the hand of an official English-speaking guide, join our free tour!

We will meet at Döbrentei Square to learn about the origins of the Buda Mountains, before continuing to the Royal Palace. On the way we will discover the curiosities of the Semmelweis Museum or the Castle Gardens Bazaar.

We will move towards the administrative area of the Buda district, where we will find the Sándor Palace, and, after crossing the street, we will enter the residential area, with places like the Rock Hospital or the Ruszwurm Bakery, a regular place for Sissi.

The Matthias Church awaits us to surprise us with its peculiarities, before ending our walk at the Fisherman's Bastion, one of the most popular viewpoints of the city.

Due to works in the surroundings of the Buda Castle, part of the route up to the palace is done by conventional stairs. Please note that if you have reduced mobility, please take this into account before making your reservation.

Meeting point: Next to the Sissi Statue on Döbrentei Square, next to the Elisabeth Bridge. Look for a blue-green flag or umbrella with the name "Strolling through Europe".

End point: Fisherman's Bastion.

- Due to the works being carried out in the surroundings of the Buda Castle, part of the route up to the palace is done by conventional stairs. Please, if you have reduced mobility, please take this into account before making your reservation. If you have any doubts, please contact us.

- Our guides will be identified with a blue-green flag with the company logo: Strolling through Europe.

- Please arrive 15 minutes in advance at the meeting point. Out of respect for the group, the guide cannot wait and the tour will leave on time.

- Show the guide, at the meeting point, the booking confirmation email, either printed or by cell phone or tablet.

- If you will not be attending the tour, cancel your reservation so that someone else can take your place. Remember that there is no charge or surcharge.

- For groups of more than 6 adults, the price will be 8 euros per person, to be paid to the guide at the meeting point.
