Overview of the tour in Buenos Aires

We will leave from the Pirámide de Mayo, in the center of Plaza de Mayo, in CABA. We will tour its surroundings to tell the story of how Buenos Aires was founded and what it was like in colonial times. Did you know that the Río de la Plata was where the square is today?

We will explore the origin, functioning and importance of the buildings that surround it: the Casa Rosada (why is it pink?), AFIP, the Banco Nación, the changing of the guard of the Granaderos a Caballo (why is it done?), the Cabildo, the Legislatura Porteña and the imposing Metropolitan Cathedral. In front of its façade, we will discover its fascinating history of centuries, and we will enter to visit the Mausoleum of General San Martin, Father of the Nation.

Then, we will take Defensa Street and learn about the history of the oldest neighborhood in Buenos Aires. We will follow the colorful and entertaining Comic Strip Road, enjoying the most iconic comics of Argentina, while we talk about our culture, flavors, typical food, soccer and music.

We will end the tour in front of the Rio de la Plata, in Puerto Madero, the most modern, expensive and luxurious neighborhood of the city. Don't miss it!

On arrival

The Pyramid of May is located in the exact center of the square, easily located with any app or map. It is a white structure in the shape of a column. I will be waiting for you with a red t-shirt, microphone and visible ID. Join the tour!

Things to note

Due to the expected high temperatures in Buenos Aires, it is recommended to bring a cold drink, sunglasses, comfortable clothes, sneakers and, if possible, a hat to protect you from the sun. You may also want to bring some money, as many tourists tend to shop in San Telmo or stay for lunch in Puerto Madero.

Important: The visit to the Metropolitan Cathedral is of a historical nature. We will not attend any mass or celebration, nor will we sit and pray, as that takes a long time. Please take this into account and respect this clarification, join this tour full of history and culture!
