The B Side of Buenos Aires
Overview of the tour in Buenos Aires
Walk with me and discover the hidden Buenos Aires, the B side. Here, you'll find lush parks, tree-lined streets, tango milongas (traditional tango bars), museums, and railways.
This area is safe and peaceful, with families and porteños (locals) always around. It's a community less touched by gentrification and mainstream tourism.
Our destinations are Almagro, Caballito, Abasto, and Once (pronounced ON-CE). These neighborhoods are rich in history and South American and Jewish culture. Almagro is known for tango and commerce. Caballito boasts parks, retirees, families, hospitals, and charming alleys. Abasto is home to the Peruvian community and Carlos Gardel, Argentina's legendary tango singer.
Once is Buenos Aires' melting pot: Orthodox Jews, Muslims, Bolivians, Peruvians, and refugees from Haiti, Nigeria, and Senegal!
If you have a few extra days or have visited Buenos Aires before and want to explore something new, join me!
