Overview of the tour in Cadiz
Immerse yourself in a fascinating journey through the history and art of the city of Cadiz on this archaeological and historical-artistic tour that will take you to discover the hidden treasures of this jewel of the Spanish coast.
We will begin our tour at the Phoenician site of Gadir, where we will explore the ruins of one of the oldest cities in Europe, founded by the Phoenicians in the 9th century BC. We will learn about the legacy of this maritime civilization and its influence on the history of Cadiz.
We will continue to the Roman site of Doña Blanca, where we can admire the remains of an amphitheater and Roman baths, witnesses of the Roman presence in the city and its importance as a strategic port in antiquity.
We will enter the Barrio del Pópulo, the old town of Cádiz, where we will discover the architecture and the medieval atmosphere of the city. We will visit the Cathedral of Cadiz, an impressive baroque masterpiece that houses a treasure trove of sacred art and offers panoramic views of the city from its tower.
Finally, we will visit the Museum of Cadiz, where we will be able to contemplate a unique collection of art and archaeology
