Overview
We will start at the Plaza San Juan de Dios located next to the City Hall with its neoclassical facades. We will continue to the Campo Sur area, where we will enjoy the best views of the new area of Cadiz, its beaches and the ocean, thanks to the elevation of the promenade. We will emphasize of this area the set of buildings of garish colors that contrast with the banners of the white houses of the city and browns of the ostionera stone of the old walls.
In addition, we can enjoy the remains of the Roman Theater, and the back of the old and new Cathedrals. Annexing this area with the Barrio del Pópulo, the oldest in Europe, where we will discover several vestiges of the history of Cadiz. Another of the neighborhoods through which we will pass is La Viña, the seafaring neighborhood that is related to its past as a place of cultivation of the vine. Today, it is known for the celebration of the carnival.
We finish the tour at the most popular beach of the city, Caleta beach.
