Overview of the tour in Cadiz

Welcome travelers to the first free tour of "La Pepa", welcome to the year 1812, we are in a turbulent year in which Spain, invaded by Napoleonic France, politicians have to take refuge in the south of the peninsula to escape the siege.

We will enter into the way of being of the people of Cadiz, in a city that during those years doubled its population and surprised by its character, its joy and its culture.
I invite you to know the secrets of a route where you will see that it has all the necessary ingredients to enjoy, to know its history, to visit other parts of the city and most importantly, that you take a great memory.

In this Cadiz de la Pepa, you will also discover many curiosities, such as the place where the first national lottery was held or where the first French omelette was created and why that name. And to finish with our recipe and have the best possible dish, you will have at hand the best tips and recommendations to continue knowing the city and its province, its gastronomy, its emblematic sites and many more things.

And all this to the cry of.... vIVA LA PEPA!

Meeting point

Diputación Provincial de Cádiz, Plaza de España, Cádiz, Spain

On arrival

The address to find the meeting point is, Plaza de España, s/n, 11006 Cádiz, just in front of the building of the Diputación de Cádiz, at the main door, where above it you will see three flags flying, the flag of Spain, Andalusia and Diputación de Cádiz.
In order to be able to locate me, I will be carrying a yellow flag.

Things to note

My recommendation to get to the meeting point is to walk or take public transportation, but I leave you different options for you to choose the one that best suits your needs.
-If you want to walk and you are staying in the historic center, it will be easy to find the Plaza de España and get there, as it is easy to reach from any point in the center. The longest distance is approximately 15-20 minutes.
-If you are not staying in the old town and prefer to arrive by public transport, you can take bus number 1 if you are staying near the beach area or the main avenue, if you are staying near the Sanidad Pública avenue, you could take bus number 2 if you are staying near the beach area or the main avenue
-The last stop for both buses is Plaza de España.
-If you prefer to arrive in your own vehicle, I advise you to park in the parking lot of Canalejas, since it is the closest to the Plaza España, I do not recommend you to look for a place on the street because it is complicated.
