We begin our journey by hopping on the metro, immersing ourselves in the everyday life of Cairo's residents.
Our first stop is the Coptic area, where we'll explore hidden gems such as the renowned Hanging Church, Babylon Fortress, St. George Church, St. Sergius and St. Bacchus Church, and other magnificent ancient churches. As you wander through the narrow streets of this historically rich neighborhood, you'll get a glimpse into Egypt's Coptic heritage.
Next, we'll continue our adventure to the imposing citadel of Salah Al-Din, perched high above the city. Here, you'll be awe-struck by the stunning Mosque of Muhammad Ali, also known as the Alabaster Mosque, as you learn about its fascinating history. We'll also visit the Al-Nasser Muhammed ibn Qalawun Mosque, showcasing breathtaking architecture.
