Night Tour in Catania
Overview of the tour in Catania
At the indicated time, we will begin this night tour of Catania from Vincenzo Bellini Square, where we will contemplate the lighting of the iconic Teatro Massimo Bellini. Did you know that it is one of the reference centers for culture in Sicily?
After learning about the history of this temple of opera, we will take a walk through the San Berillo neighborhood. We will enter its picturesque alleys, whose particular charm is even more attractive under the moonlight. In addition, we will see different urban murals in which their artists have captured highly colorful and expressive works with graffiti.
Next, we will walk along the emblematic Via Gemellaro, and we will pass through Via dei Crociferi, an authentic open-air museum that houses dozens of architectural jewels of the Sicilian Baroque.
We will also see the Roman Amphitheater of Catania, one of the largest in Sicily, and we will also stop in front of the Ursino Castle, which had the privilege of being one of the few monuments in the city that resisted the earthquake of 1693.
Finally, after a two-and-a-half-hour walking tour, we will conclude our night tour of Catania next to the Fish Market.
