Overview
Our meeting place will be the square of 1866 at the beginning of Halidon Street outside the office. Or if you want somewhere else? At the Old Town of Chania.
Starting the walk we will visit the Metropolitan Church of the Entry of the Virgin Mary. And then we continue to the area of Splantzia, visiting the church of Agios Nikolaos and the historical square and on the way.
We will pass by the Turkish minaret and the houses of the Arab and Venetian quarters and see the walls of the oldest city.
We will visit the Venetian Arsenal (shipyards). To continue the excavation of the Minoan city of Kydonia (3, 000 BC) in the Kastelli area, with an excellent view of the Old Port.
We will visit the Yali Mosque (old mosque). We continue to the old Venetian mansions of Topanas and the Firka fortress, on our way back to the square of 1866 we will pass by the Jewish quarter and the synagogue!
