Overview of the tour in Chongqing
Hello, I am a Chongqing native, a photographer, and a contracted writer for many famous travel magazines such as Lonely Planet and Condé Nast Traveler. I will lead you to explore my hometown, not just tourist attractions, but to explore this beautiful city in depth.
The whole walking tour will be in Yuzhong District, which is the most frequent place for tourists, as well as the traditional old town of Chongqing.
We will start near Linjiangmen and visit Kuixinglou. You must have seen that video on TikTok: you think you are standing in the square, but turn around and find that you are on the 18th floor.
Then we will pass by the famous Hongyadong area. It is more beautiful at night, so we will not stay too long during the day. And I will tell you the best place to see Hongyadong.
Then, it is Luohan Temple, a Buddhist temple hidden in the downtown area. You can see the contrast between ancient and modern scenes here.
Next, we will explore more local places, residential areas, and wholesale markets near Chaotianmen and Baixiang Street. They are very typical Chongqing 3D urban landscapes.
Usually, we end near Jiaochangkou Station. You can have dinner nearby.

On arrival
Take the Metro to Linjiangmen Station. We will meet outside exit 1 of the station.
Things to note
The tour takes about 3 hours, and you can take the metro to other areas by yourself after the tour.
Please make sure to wear suitable shoes because there are many steps and uneven roads in Chongqing.
Note that this is more of a tour to explore Chongqing in-depth, so I avoided the most famous places, such as Hongyadong. But if you want to really understand the city, rather than just visit the attractions, you are welcome to join.
