Free Tour of Cochabamba: An Architectural Overview
Overview of the tour in Cochabamba
The main square 14 de septiembre will be the meeting point where we will start explaining the first years of Cochabamba, we will see a little of the buildings that are around the square, the old government, the mayor's office, the company of Jesus and the importance of each one in the urban growth being one of the first to be built around the square.
We will visit the cathedral, explain the architectural style to which it belongs, its construction and see other elements that make it special in the city. The circuit will continue with a visit to buildings representative of the identity of Cochabamba in its beginnings. The churches and other religious elements will help us understand the transformation of the city to the Cochabamba we see today.
The street España and heroines shows us a little of how the houses were in a Cochabamba of the early twentieth century, with a mixture of colonial architecture with characteristic elements of the area, markets with traditional food that are close to the square and how the gastronomy becomes important in the life of the Cochabambinos.
