Downhill Coimbra Top Attractions Free Tour
Overview of the tour in Coimbra
I'm José - portuguese, graduate at the university & living in Coimbra for over 20 years.
I have all the necessary legal authorizations to carry out tours (RNAT registration number 924/2023)
To make it easier to understand the city's history, I use supporting material such as photos, diagrams and maps.
After all, it's much more real to see what it was like than just to hear about it.
We'll start in the heart of the university and pass by all the main attractions of the city:
-Unesco-listed University (outside)
-New Cathedral & Machado Castro Museum courtyard
-Old Cathedral
-Downtown (Monument to Fado, Almedina Arch & St. James Church
-Santa Cruz Church (including Inside)
-Portagem square (end spot)
You will also learn about some academic traditions and the life of students and people in the city.
We'll pass by great spots for panoramic and artistic photos and I'll also give tips on restaurants and other great spots along the tour.
At the end, you'll receive a quick reference sheet with useful information about the city.
Let's make your Coimbra exploration truly memorable
