Overview of the tour in Coimbra
Conimbriga is a veritable pearl of the Roman legacy left in Portugal. It is currently applying to become a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a city of enormous dimensions, constantly undergoing archaeological excavations (a never-ending job).
Among other attractions, we'll get to know the museum, full of various finds from this city (such as coins, knives, games, glass, ceramics), the extraordinary fountain house, the walls, the canter house, the baths or the forum. Always with explanations from the guide.

Conimbriga is 25 minutes from Coimbra. There is a bus from Coimbra in the morning.
The best way to get there is by taxi/Uber or private car.
If you are traveling in the south of Portugal - north (or the other way around), you can stop off in Conimbriga. It's on the way.
Things to note
Conimbriga is prepared for tourism. It has a café, toilets and even a restaurant.
Accessibility in the Roman city: It's flat and easy to walk.
We always recommend that you bring comfortable shoes and pay attention to the weather conditions.
In the summer, it is advisable to bring light clothing and sunscreen. In winter, a jacket and heavier clothing (Conimbriga can be windy)
