Overview
Who better to guide you through Coimbra, the students' city of Portugal, than us, students who live and breathe the vibrant culture of this city? We will walk you through the most emblematic places and hidden gems of Coimbra, and let you know all of the traditions that still involve the University and its history
Itinerary:
• Largo da Portagem (start)
• Santa Cruz Monastery and City Hall
• Academic Association and Official Student Store
• Praça da Republica
• Monumental Stairs
• Botanical Garden
• Faculties and University
• Secret Photo Spot
• New and Old Cathedrals
• Historic Center
• Largo da Portagem (end)
Be ready to walk, the city has some hills to climb but also do decent later. Don't worry there will be resting moments when you can take some photos and talk with us. In the end, we will give you some suggestions about what to visit, where to eat, and local pastries. If we have time we'll cross the river to admire the unique postcard landscape of Coimbra.
Notes: Remember the guided tour doesn't include visiting monuments inside. Wear comfortable shoes and clothes and bring your sunscreen. Please note that the guided tour is subject to change due to weather conditions.
