Cordoba Olive Oil Tasting & Breakfast

Great 2 hours..a bit of touring...history...olive oil tastings galore. Perfect guide thanks

After visiting few stalls at the local market (still don't understand what was the point or relevance) with the one that actually specializes in olive oils being closed (!!!) - still a wonder why we were even stopping there - we were taken to a shady basement where few varieties of olive oils presumably produced by the family that organizes this activity were offered for tasting. I don't want to speak about the quality of the oils or the taste - these things are subjective. But it absolutely does not give anyone any idea about the olive oils produced in the region. But to add "insult to an injury" strange demands were made at the end of this so called "tour". Despite being advertised as 19 euro per person, the host demanded that we pay extra 9.50. Host has claimed that it doesn't matter that we already paid that amount at the time of booking and that since their side did not get those monies, we must pay it to them directly. This issue was resolved only after we threatened to call police, as no other reasoning made any impact. Overall, it's definitely not something one would like to experience on the holiday - neither from the content side, nor from the taste or organization side... My advice would be "AVOID"...

Mara was super nice and had very good knowledge of olives and olive oils. We werejust three people on the experience. But really great and informative. I just can recommend this tour.
