Overview of the tour in Cordoba

Do not leave Cordoba without visiting the remains of this city-palace.
Walk with us through the archaeological site to discover, live and feel how the life of the city was, its development over time and the reason for its short history.

At 7 kms from Cordoba at the foot of Sierra Morena, in a privileged location, the caliph Abderramán III ordered its construction in order to show his superiority over his enemies.

The city was designed to be the capital of the Caliphate of Cordoba and is considered one of the most important works of Islamic architecture and urban planning; therefore it had impressive palaces, courtyards, gardens and mosques, reflecting the wealth and power of the Andalusian culture of the time.

Although much of the city has been destroyed over the centuries, it is still possible to visit the archaeological remains and enjoy the beauty of the city and imagine what it once was.

This activity includes:

  • Medina Azahara - Conjunto Arqueológico Madinat al-Zahra
  • Club Deportivo Sierra Morena
  • Entrada al conjunto arqueológico
  • Acceso al museo
  • Radioguías
  • Guía turístico oficial local
  • Opcional: Transporte ida/vuelta (+9€)
