The walls of Alcázar has seen multiple events in centuries of history, such as the preparation of the War of Granada by the Catholic Monarchs and their first meeting with Christopher Columbus. Subsequently, it was adapted to have many uses, including headquarters of the Spanish Inquisition and prison.
Its beautiful gardens are the favorite place by the locals and foreigners to celebrate civil weddings in the city. Besides, huge Roman mosaics, and even Arab baths built by Alfonso XI for his lover Leonor de Guzmán, can be found inside this fortress.

“Catholic Kings Alcazar”

The visit was great, we had a great time with the guide Claudia who explained everything wonderfully.

“A 10 for Rafael”

The weather was not very nice, in the end it ended up raining in the gardens so we could not enjoy them. We will be back and hopefully with better weather, less people and we will be looking for you!!!

“Our guide Lydia was great!”

Alcazar in Cordoba is a must see place. We have booked a tour for it and our guide Lydia was amazing, she offered some really interesting details on the subject, told us fascinating stories about the history of the place and remained in good spirit despite the heat. The gardens are exceptionally breathtaking, so happy we did this!
