Free Tour: Medieval Cuenca
Overview of the tour in Cuenca
Discover a medieval old town preserved for centuries and declared a World Heritage Site.
We will walk through the upper part of the city, walking through its intricate streets and stopping to admire its churches, palaces, convents and viewpoints overlooking the deep ravines of the Huécar and Júcar rivers.
During the first hour we will walk along the most beautiful street of the old town: the Ronda de Julián Romero.
After learning about the history of the old Colegio de San José and delighting ourselves with several spectacular viewpoints, we will arrive at the former Inquisition Tribunal to be amazed by its terrible history and enjoy unforgettable views.
Then we will descend the lonely Ronda del Júcar and enjoy the illuminated facades of the Cathedral and the Hanging Houses, to finish discovering the bizarre history of the Bridge of San Pablo.
If you arrive late, you can join us in front of the Cathedral, where we will be explaining the first 10 minutes, and if you arrive later, just go up the Ronda Julián Romero to meet the group (but remember that if you are on time, we will meet you under the arches of the City Hall)
