Overview of the tour in Dar es Salaam
It's in this town where Native, Arab, and Portuguese traders gathered slaves from the interior of Africa at Bagamoyo port for shipping to Zanzibar, which began providing slave labor for local plantations, European possessions in Africa, and a limited number of American plantations in the 1700s.
Bagamoyo tour itinerary
- Meeting at the Airport or any other place in Dar es Salaam
- Drive over to Bagamoyo, about a 1:30 hrs drive from Dar es Salaam City
- Along the way to Bagamoyo, you will experience the beauty of the local surroundings
Throughout the trip, you should expect to see and learn about slavery business conducted in the past, visiting Kaole ruins, Old Fort in East Africa, Dr Livingstone's church, fish market, beautiful shores of Bagamoyo, learn the history of Caravanserai and old buildings built from the Slavery era.
In the evening, we'll drive back to Dar es Salaam, and you will be dropped off at your hotel or airport.
