The airport is about 12 kilometers (7.5 miles) southwest of the city center. You can take Julius K. Nyerere Road, which is the main route to the airport. Depending on traffic, the journey can take around 30 minutes.

There are buses and minibusses (daladalas) that operate routes to the airport. However, they can be crowded and less reliable in terms of schedule.
Ride-Sharing Services:
Apps like Uber and Bolt are available in Dar es Salaam and can be a convenient option for getting to the airport.

Some hotels and travel agencies offer shuttle services to the airport. It’s worth checking with your accommodation if they provide this service.
Things to note
Wear Neutral-colored clothing – Tans, greens, greys, browns, AKA Earth tones! And avoid bright colors. After 6-8 hours in the sun, you will be sweaty. Wear clothes that’ll handle it.
