Overview of the tour in Dar es Salaam
Saadani National Park Adventure: Your journey begins through the scenic route via Mandela Village, Miono, Mkange, and finally, to the Mvave main entrance, just 50 kilometers off the highway. After checking in and obtaining your permit at the park’s reservations office, we’ll embark on an exciting game drive. Saadani is the only national park where the bush meets the Indian Ocean, offering a unique blend of wildlife and coastal beauty. The park is also home to villages and the winding Wami River, which flows into the southern part of the park.
We’ll take the shortest route, usually via Makurunge Village, depending on weather conditions during November's rainy season. If clear, it will take only 2.5 hours to reach Gama Gate, a 130-kilometer journey from the city center. The alternate route via Mandela Village takes 4 hours due to the longer distance.
As we drive through the savannah grasslands and bushy landscapes, you'll enjoy breathtaking views. Spot zebras, wildebeests, impalas, baboons, giraffes, hartebeests, waterbucks, and more grazing in the open areas. If lucky, you may even catch a glimpse of lions during the sunset!
