Pugu Hills Forest Reserve Day Trip Itinerary

7:00 AM – Departure from Dar es Salaam
- Meet at the designated pick-up point in Dar es Salaam.
- Begin the journey to Pugu Hills, located about 25 kilometers from the city center.

8:00 AM – Arrival at Pugu Hills Forest Reserve
- Arrive at the reserve and receive a brief orientation about the area, including safety guidelines and an overview of the day's activities. - Begin a moderate hike to the top of Pugu Hills.
- Once at the summit, take in the panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, including views of Dar es Salaam in the distance.

Visit to the Historical Caves
- Explore the ancient caves within the reserve, which are believed to have been used by early inhabitants.

4:00 PM – Return to Dar es Salaam
- Start the journey back to Dar es Salaam.
- Reflect on the day's adventures and share experiences with fellow travelers.
- Drop-off at the original pick-up point.

On arrival

Meet at Mlimani City's main entrance by 7:00 AM. Look for our team with a sign. From Mlimani, we head southwest on Sam Nujoma Road, then turn left onto Nyerere Road towards Pugu. Pass the airport, turn right at the Pugu Hills sign, and follow the road to the reserve. Parking is available. Our guide will meet you at the reception for orientation and the day's activities. Bring essentials like comfy shoes, sunscreen, and water. Call us if you need help finding the meeting point!
