Diani Street Food & Market Tour
Overview of the tour in Diani
Once your guide picks you up from the meeting point, we will brief you on what to expect.
First stop
The first stop will be at Ibiza Market, where we will walk through the market as you learn how local people trade. We will pass by a souvenir shop and a tailoring shop where you can sample deras (female Swahili-free dresses) and learn how they started their work. You are encouraged to buy one.
Second Stop
The next stop will be at the kibandaski (a local restaurant) where you will have a taste of different street food made by the locals.
The menu includes:
- Welcomed with a cup of Swahili porridge - Porridge made of wheat and coconut(starter)
- Chapati with beans, Ugali with sukumawiki, Coconut rice with coconut fish( main meals)
- Viazi Karai (snack)
Third stop
We will then go to a local bar (Mangwe) to taste palm wine. If you are interested in more, you can purchase more and enjoy yourself. What to bring.
Bring an empty stomach and a bottle of water to stay hydrated.
After creating the best memories in the streets, you will be dropped off at the meeting point.

Things to note
Please bring some loose change in Kenyan currency to buy street food and possible souvenirs.
