Overview of the tour in Dresden

In past centuries, Dresden was considered the pearl of the European baroque, with its numerous churches, palaces, and museums. The polemic bombing of allies at the end of the Second World War and the subsequent administration of the communist government have completely changed the character and the environment of this German city. During the guided tour in Spanish for 2 hours, we will go into this fascinating history of ancient splendor, the destruction during the war and the impressive reconstruction in the German reunification era.
Our tour starts next to the statue of King John I of Saxony (König-Johann-Denkmal) on the Theaterplatz in front of the famous Semper Opera House. This is where we will learn about the Wettin dynasty, under which the city flourished in culture, art, and architecture. Afterwards, we will continue covering the most important points, concluding in front of the emblematic Church of Our Lady (Frauenkirche) - a visible symbol of German effort of the reconstruction of its historical heritage.

This activity includes:

  • Zwinger
  • Fürstenzug
  • Copenhagen Cathedral
  • Brühl's Terrace
