Overview of the tour in Easter Island
Visit the Rano Raraku volcanic crater and Moai Statues of Easter Island.
Depart from Hanga Roa’s town at 9:30 am and move towards the southeast and northeast coasts of the Island. Stop at Ahu Akahanga, where the first king on this island, Hotu Matu'a, is buried. You can spend a good time checking out Moai statues and the remains of an old village with stone foundations of boathouses and old stone ovens.
Visit the Rano Raraku volcanic crater located on the lower slopes of Terevaka in Rapa Nui National Park. Inside Rano Raraku, you can see more than 400 Moai statues and the crater lakes.
Pass by Ahu Tongariki, the island's largest Ahu (stone platform).
Enjoy the famed Paro Moai site at Ahu Te Pito Kura, where the largest moai statue was transported from the Rano Raraku volcano quarry and erected successfully on an ahu. Then, arrive at Ahu Nau Nau, an archaeological complex where the origin of the Rapa Nui culture began.
