Free Walking Tour Around Ennis
Overview of the tour in Ennis
Take a walk around the medieval town of Ennis, learning about its history and the people who've shaped it. With a compact town center, we can see a lot in a short time.
You'll start in the middle of town, right under Daniel O’Connell, before heading down to the Ennis Friary, the original heart of Ennis. After that, we'll loop back to learn about the market, the old jail, and the Sisters of Mercy.
Along the way I can point out places for you to enjoy a drink and some traditional music, or a tasty bite to eat.
This activity includes:
- Daniel O'Connell Monument
- Sisters Of Mercy
On arrival
You'll find me by the O'Connell monument - the big tall pillar in the middle of the town.
Things to note
It can be wet and cold in western Ireland! Please have your rain jacket and sturdy shoes.
