Freiburg Free Tour: The Gateway to the Black Forest
Overview
You will enjoy a city full of life thanks to its university, full of historical/architectural places such as the Cathedral, the beautiful and old warehouses, the entrance towers/gates; practically pedestrian with spectacular cobblestones with mosaics on the floor and with water channels that are amazing for kids and not so kids. In addition, you will love the wrongly named "little Venice," the fishermen's quarter.
And after the tour, if you feel like it, you can go up for some spectacular views of the city and much more from the viewpoint behind the Cathedral: on the Schlossberg mountain.

Our Guides
On arrival
The meeting point is the main stairs of the City Theatre, located in the square of the old Synagogue (former University Square).
To help you find your way: right under the huge white sign that says "THEATER FREIBURG."
Easy to recognize as right next to it, there is a large glass building.
You will see us there (the guide that we have that day) about 15 minutes before starting the free tour.
Things to note
Please be punctual so as not to delay the activity and the group. Also, if you arrive several minutes late to the meeting point, the guide will have already started the free tour, and you will miss the start, which is tied to the tour in general. Therefore, in order not to lose the thread of the tour from the beginning, arrive early ;)
We, the guides, will always be at the meeting point, waiting 15 minutes before starting it.
You will share the tour with more people who are willing to participate, and out of empathy, it is better to arrive on time. It is clear that there are always unforeseen events, things that we cannot control, such as traffic. Therefore
If it is not possible to arrive on time, let the guide know via WhatsApp or message so that we can take it into account. Of course, please do it before the start of the free tour. Once the tour has started, the guides do not touch or wait on the phone...
If the tour is in summer, come prepared for a lot of heat (it is usually hot in Freiburg, we will tell you), but also for perhaps some rain... We are in Germany, and anything can happen ;)
If the tour is not in summer, take into account the weather on the day of the tour:
We know that some of you do not feel like doing a tour in the rain. We ask that if this is the case, you notify the guide and cancel in advance. Unless it is a "universal deluge," we will continue with the activity. We are used to this rain, and if it rains "normally," an umbrella and/or raincoat is more than enough.
If the tour is at Christmas or in winter... Prepare for the cold, some rain, and perhaps some snow. How beautiful the city is at Christmas! At this time of year, you are surely more prepared and aware of this type of thing.
Free Cancellation
You are free to cancel a booking anytime. We kindly remind you to cancel bookings you cannot arrive for. Being reported as absent decreases your customer level points and the benefits you can enjoy.
