Overview
Stutthof concentration camp was the first camp built in Poland by the Nazis. It was opened in the early days of World War II to exterminate intellectuals from the Free City of Danzig (Gdansk).
During the five years of existence of the Stutthof Concentration Camp, 110,000 prisoners from 28 countries suffered the atrocities, of which 64,000 were killed.
The Soviet Army liberated the camp on May 9, 1945.
We will see the prisoners' cells, gas chambers, and crematoria during the visit. We will also have the opportunity to see some documentaries about the countryside in the cinema of the Stutthof Museum.
Movies with a duration between 16 and 30 minutes cost less than 1 euro per person. An essential visit to learn about the horrors to which the prisoners were subjected in this camp, the most important and best preserved in Northern Poland.
