Overview of the tour in Glasgow
Starting in George square, meet between the Lions. We begin with a discussion of the many monuments and their significance to Glasgow. These include Walter Scott, Rabbie Burns, Nelson Mandela, Queen Victoria and Robert Peel. We will enjoy the fantastic Victorian and Edwardian architecture that Glasgow is renowned for.
Moving on to Buchanan Street we will learn how the connection with the United States, Britain's first colony, Jamestown started the trade growth that allowed Glasgow to take advantage of the new trade in Tobacco.
